Configuring The Address Dip Switch

There is a dip switch on both the hand controller and the motor controller boards.  These dip switches must be configured to the same value for the units to communicate with each other.  This is to allow multiple wireless controllers to interact within the same area without interfering with each other.  The dip switches are preset to a selected value when you first purchase the units.  If you end up having problems because you have the same value as someone else near where you are observing then you can change your address.  Make the same change to both units.  You can view your current address setting on the Diagnostics screen when you run the MicroTouch software.

Hand Controller Dip Switch:

First remove the battery cover from the hand controller.

With the battery cover removed turn the hand controller face down and locate the dip switches.

The six switches will define a 6-bit binary number between 0-63.  Use something with a small tip like a pencil or a small screwdriver to push a switch up or down.  You can view your current address setting on the Diagnostics screen when you run the MicroTouch software.  The dip switches are only read at power-up so you will need to cycle power on the hand controller first.  If you have any trouble configuring your dip switches to a new value please contact Starizona.

Finally...replace the battery cover on the hand controller.

Motor Controller Dip Switch:

First remove the four screws on the back of the motor controller unit using a 3/32" Allen wrench.

With the back cover removed turn the motor controller face down and locate the dip switches.

The six switches will define a 6-bit binary number between 0-63 and must be set to the same value as your hand controller.  Use something with a small tip like a pencil or a small screwdriver to push a switch up or down.  You can view your current address setting on the Diagnostics screen when you run the MicroTouch software.  The dip switches are only read at power-up so you will need to cycle power on the motor controller first.  If you have any trouble configuring your dip switches to a new value please contact Starizona.

If the dip switches in the hand controller and the motor controller do not match then the status for the motor controller will show up as "FAILED" when viewing the Diagnostics screen.

Finally...replace the back cover on the motor controller.
